The AME Church and Alzheimer’s Association presents Purple Sunday

The A.M.E. Church observes “Connectional Purple Sunday” to inform the community about Alzheimer’s disease and Caregiver resources. This year’s program will include Supervisor Alexia Fugh of the A.M.E. Church’s 5th Episcopal District who, along with Mrs. Lessie Thompson, will talk about how they got their Women’s Missionary Society engaged in Alzheimer’s awareness. Mrs. Tia Delaney- Stewart, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the California and Southland Chapters of the Alzheimer’s Association (R) will share how she works with the 5th District’s Women’s Missionary Society.
