Heart & Soul Connection 2.0 – Program Orientation & Line Dance Fitness Workshop (in-person)

FreeOn Saturday August 12th, the Multicultural Health Foundation (MHF) invites you to put on your dancing shoes and cut a rug as a way to prevent hypertension. Get ready for the Wobble, the Cupid Shuffle, the Biker Shuffle, the Electric Slide, the Cha Cha Slide and more. The line dance class is an activity that is a part of the Heart & Soul Hypertension Intervention Connection Program 2.0.
Line dancing with Patricia Murray begins at 1pm. Program orientation and registration starts at 2pm. . Hosted at the Lemon Grove Library.
Program Information
High blood pressure, also called hypertension, is blood pressure that is higher than normal. According to the Centers for Disease Control, hypertension disproportionately affects Black adults than other ethnic groups.
The Multicultural Health Foundation has developed an engaging initiative called the Heart and Soul Connection Program created for San Diego residents to learn more about hypertension disease and ways to make small life changes with long-term health benefits. Meet with physicians, nutritionists, culinary experts, and fitness instructors who have a common goal of assisting you in meeting your health goals for 2023 and beyond.
