Heart & Soul Connection – Program Orientation & Fitness Workshop (in-person) #2

On Saturday March 18th, the Multicultural Health Foundation (MHF) invites participants to once again engage in an energetic and fun fitness class utilizing boxing moves by instructor Jacques Lumpkins of Power Activity. This fitness class is designed for all fitness levels. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
This class will immediately follow the Orientation class at 1 pm. The fitness class is an activity that is a part of the Heart & Soul Hypertension Intervention Connection Program.
Program orientation and registration starts at 1pm. Fitness Exercise begins at 2pm. Hosted at the Lemon Grove Library.
Program Information
High blood pressure, also called hypertension, is blood pressure that is higher than normal. According to the Centers for Disease Control, hypertension disproportionately affects Black adults than other ethnic groups.
The Multicultural Health Foundation has developed an engaging initiative called the Heart and Soul Connection Program created for San Diego residents to learn more about hypertension disease and ways to make small life changes with long-term health benefits. Meet with physicians, nutritionists, culinary experts, and fitness instructors who have a common goal of assisting you in meeting your health goals for 2023 and beyond.
