Mental Health America – Meeting of the Minds Behavioral Health Conference

On Tuesday October 12th, Mental Health America will host Meeting of the Minds at the Marina Village Conference Center.

MEETING OF THE MINDS, MTS and Aurora Behavioral Health Care will provide sessions featuring the most recent research and knowledge on effective programs, policies and topics related to families, youth and adults facing mental health, substance use, and aging issues.  This conference combines expert presentations and courses to maximize learning and equip attendees to implement effective approaches.

This annual behavioral health conference and resource fair highlights innovative and unique care in mental health treatment and supportive care. The resource fair allows attendees to network with other professionals related to new approaches in care. The conference promotes collaboration, cooperation, and understanding related to mental health.

After attending this conference participants will be able to:

1. Describe how care in San Diego for those with mental illness has changed in the last several years.

2. Describe the importance of community care and helping those in need as a collective and not siloed in systems of care.

3. Identify best practices and evidence-based programs that contribute to the wellness and care of San Diegans.
